Pacific Admissions Group is a transfer admissions consultancy for California community college students applying to the UCs, CSUs and USC. We help with course planning, TAG, school lists and UC Personal Insight Questions. Packages run from $500 to $5,500, single services start at $150, and every student starts with a free 30-minute call.

If you're looking for a college transfer consultant or transfer counselor to help with the UC application, this is the service: one-on-one help, led by a founder who made the same move from community college to UC Berkeley Haas.

What a UC transfer consultant does

A transfer consultant helps you get from where you are now to a strong, complete application. With us, that means:

  • Course planning. We map your remaining classes against each school's major preparation on ASSIST.org, so you finish the right courses in the right order.
  • TAG and school strategy. We check whether a Transfer Admission Guarantee makes sense for you and build a list of reach, target and safer schools.
  • IGETC vs. major prep. We tell you which to prioritize for your majors.
  • Personal Insight Questions. We brainstorm, draft and edit your four UC PIQs together, so they sound like you.
  • USC and private schools. We help with Common App transfer essays and supplements.
  • A final review. We check the whole application before you submit.

Results

More than 40 students we've worked with have been admitted to UCs, CSUs and private universities, including 12 to UCLA, 8 to UC Berkeley, 9 to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 7 to USC, 5 to USC Marshall and 2 to Berkeley Haas. Some students were admitted to more than one school. Read student stories and before-and-after examples.

No consultant can guarantee admission. Decisions are made by each university.

Who you work with

Pacific Admissions Group was founded by Manraj, who transferred from a California community college and was admitted to UC Berkeley Haas, USC Marshall, UCLA Business Economics and UC Irvine Merage. Senior advisor Armaan, a USC Marshall admit, leads USC and private-school essays. You work directly with us, not a call center. All sessions are on Zoom, so we work with students at any California community college.

How it starts

  1. Free 30-minute call. We look at your GPA, units and target schools and tell you what we'd do next.
  2. A plan. If you'd like to work together, we recommend a package or single service.
  3. The work. Sessions on Zoom, with direct email and messaging in between.

Common questions

When should I hire a UC transfer consultant?

Ideally in your first semester at community college, so your course plan is right from the start. If you're applying this cycle, start in the summer or early fall, well before the November 30 UC deadline.

Do you work with students outside Los Angeles and the Bay Area?

Yes. All sessions are on Zoom, so we work with students at any California community college.

Do you guarantee admission?

No. Admission decisions are made by each university. We help you build the strongest application you can.

Can you help with USC as well as the UCs?

Yes. USC uses the Common Application, so its essays and deadlines are different. Armaan leads USC and private-school essays.

Not sure where you stand?

On a free 30-minute call we'll go through your GPA, units and target schools and tell you what we'd do next in your position. You'll leave with next steps whether or not you work with us.
