Pacific Admissions GroupTransfer applications run on multiple parallel timelines. The UC application, CSU application, private school Common App, TAG, TAP, financial aid, Transfer Academic Updates, supplemental applications, and SIR deadlines all have their own dates. Missing any one of them can disqualify you from that specific pathway.
This timeline covers the full 2026-2027 cycle for students starting fall 2027. Dates shift slightly each cycle, but the structure is consistent.
Summer 2026 (June-August)
June 1, 2026
SIR Deadline for Fall 2026 admits. If you're already admitted for Fall 2026, this is your Statement of Intent to Register deadline with your deposit. Doesn't apply if you're applying for Fall 2027.
August 1, 2026
- UC Application opens (for Fall 2027 transfer)
- Fall 2027 TAG matrix available for UC Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz (TAG filing runs September 1-30)
- Cal State Apply open for drafting (you can submit starting October 1)
- Common Application opens (for USC, private schools)
- Begin drafting PIQs, Haas supplemental preparation, USC essays
Fall 2026 (September-November)

Submit TAG application with one participating UC (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, or Santa Cruz). Missing this deadline eliminates TAG for the entire cycle — there is no extension and no appeal.
October 1, 2026
- UC Application filing period opens
- Cal State Apply priority filing period opens. You can submit CSU applications from today through November 30.
- FAFSA opens for 2027-2028 award year
- California Dream Act Application opens
- Cal Grant GPA Verification Form filing opens

Begin submitting UC app if possible. Don't wait until late November.
November 1, 2026
- Earliest UC application submissions recommended
- Good time to submit Cal State Apply too. The CSU priority filing period closes November 30 at every campus.
Mid-November 2026
TAG decisions released by participating UCs (around November 15).
November 30, 2026
Hard deadline for UC application for all 9 UC campuses. Also the end of the Cal State Apply priority filing period for fall 2027 at all CSU campuses.
Winter 2026-2027 (December-February)
December 1, 2026
- USC transfer deadline for performing arts programs (audition or portfolio required). Most USC programs are due February 15, 2027.
- UCLA Music supplemental deadlines (December 4)
- UCLA Theater supplemental deadline (December 7)
December 15, 2026
- Transfer Academic Update (TAU) opens. Add your fall grades and any changes to your spring courses.
- UCLA Dance, Design Media Arts, Games, Computational Art and World Arts and Cultures supplemental deadlines

- Watch your email for the Haas Supplemental Application (due January 31)

- UC Berkeley Haas Supplemental Application due at 11:59 PM PST
- Transfer Academic Update (TAU) priority deadline for all UCs. The TAU is required for every transfer applicant, even if your courses haven't changed.
Spring 2027 (February-April)
February 2027
- TAP Applicant Agreement Form due through your CC honors coordinator (varies by college)
March 2, 2027
File your FAFSA or CADAA and make sure your Cal Grant GPA Verification Form is on file by this date for Cal Grant, Middle Class Scholarship, and UC Blue and Gold eligibility. Check your WebGrants 4 Students account to confirm your GPA was received. Missing this can cost you thousands of dollars in state aid.
March 15, 2027
- Stanford transfer application deadline (11:59 p.m. your local time)
March-April 2027
UC transfer decisions roll out. UC's official notification window for fall 2027 is March 1 to May 1, and each campus sets its own date. UCLA and UC Berkeley usually release in April.
Mid-April 2027
- TAP scholarship invitations sent to admitted UCLA TAP students
- CSU admission decisions released on rolling basis
Late Spring 2027 (May-June)
May 1, 2027
- UC fall 2027 decision window closes. Every UC should have sent its transfer decision by now.
- Private school reply dates for transfers vary. Check the date in each admission letter.
Mid-May 2027
Stanford transfer decisions released.
Late May 2027
USC sends transfer decisions, or a request for your spring grades, by late May. If USC asks for spring grades, expect a decision by mid-July.
June 1, 2027
Statement of Intent to Register due with $250 deposit for all UCs. This is also the deadline to accept the transfer housing guarantee at UCLA and UC Berkeley — select "any room size, any location" to preserve the guarantee.
June 1 is also the transfer reply date at Stanford and at USC (at USC, or within two weeks of your admission letter).
End of Spring Term 2027
All major prerequisites must be complete. For Haas specifically, all admission requirements must be finished by this date — summer courses after don't count.
Summer 2027
- Orientation registration (varies by UC)
- Haas Summer PreCore Program (optional)
- Housing application confirmation
- Financial aid package review on CalCentral or MyUCLA
- Final transcripts due to UCs by July 1
- Final UC waitlist decisions by July 1
UC application fee
The UC application fee is $80 for each campus you apply to ($95 for international and non-immigrant applicants). UC waives the fee for up to four campuses for eligible U.S. citizens, permanent residents and AB 540–eligible students; each campus beyond four costs $80 (UC Admissions). Fee waivers are requested inside the UC application.
The critical deadlines most students miss
- September 30 TAG deadline. No extension. One-shot annual opportunity.
- January 31 Haas Supplemental. Separate from UC app, same-day as TAU.
- January 31 TAU priority. Required for every UC transfer applicant. UC can't promise to review a late update.
- March 2 FAFSA/CADAA priority. Missing this forfeits significant state aid.
- February TAP Agreement Form. Deadline varies by CC — check with your honors coordinator.
- USC transfer Common App deadline. February 15, 2027 for most majors (December 1, 2026 for some arts programs).
Print this timeline. Put every date on your calendar with two-week warning reminders. Don't rely on memory. The students who miss deadlines are almost never the ones who didn't know about them — they're the ones who meant to submit and ran out of time.
